Greetings!

Hello, everyone!
I'm Kat De Losh and Else Swanson and I are tickled pink to be the new Madison Action Corps Organizers!  We hope this year will be full of fun and tangible successes in the fight to end hunger. This is our first entry into the Blog. It will be updated about every week, generally on Tuesdays, so check back often!

Elise and I are very excited to get going on further establishing Oxfam America’s presence here in Madison. This city has a lot of very caring people that can do a lot to help in the fight to eliminate hunger in the world.  We can’t wait to meet new new people and have fun while actually making a difference.

A few days was the Sahel Day of Action. It’s not to late to join in making a difference!
A host of factors - including erratic rainfall, meager harvests, and the lingering effects of an earlier food crisis in 2010 - have combined to put more than 18 million people at risk of hunger in the Sahel region of Africa. These people need help and they need it quickly!

You can speak up by urging Secretary Clinton to schedule an emergency aid conference for the Sahel. Just follow the link below- it takes less than two minutes!
